Gifts of the defined and undefined centers

Today I wanted to chat all about the gifts of the defined and undefined energy centers in your human design chart. Before we dive in, you’ll see the human design chart below that indicates where each center is.

Defined centers are coloured in (the colour doesn’t matter), and undefined or open centers are white, so keep that in mind when referencing your chart! Unless you are a reflector, you will have a mix of defined and undefined centers in your chart. (if you want to look up your human design chart, you can do so for free here)

Here is my chart so you can see an example:

As you can see, the only UNDEFINED centers I have are the emotional solar plexus and sacral center as they are not coloured in.
If the center is defined, that means you have CONSISTENT access to that energy and are able to generate it. If it is undefined (not coloured in), you will have INCONSISTENT access to that energy, but you are able to reflect and amplify others energy in that centers. As you’ll see, there are gifts with both defined and undefined energy centers!

I’ve put together a bit of a cheat sheet below for each of the 9 energy centers so you can have a better idea of what gifts you have access to when you’re in alignment with your design.

Crown/Head:

Defined: You’re a source for information and inspiration.
Undefined: You’re a flexible thinker, open to new insights and the opportunity to be inspired from all directions.

Mind/Ajna:

Defined: You’re not easily influenced by others thoughts – you trust in what you know to be true.
Undefined: You’re very open-minded and able to see multiple different perspectives at a time.

Throat:

Defined: You have a level of confidence that allows you to be seen and heard.
Undefined: You have the ability to speak in different voices and your voice can be the reflection of the group you’re with.

Self/Identity/G Center:

Defined: You have a solid sense of self and know who you are and where you’re heading.
Undefined: You have an open spirit, and know you’re not stuck with ONE singular life purpose.

Heart/Will Center/Ego:

Defined: You have the capacity to decide you’re going to do something and the ability to go out there and do it.
Undefined: You are here to be successful without force – you don’t have to prove your value.

Emotional Solar Plexus:

Defined: You have consistent access to your feelings.
Undefined: You are cool, calm and collected and able to experience emotions judgement-free when you’re in alignment.

Sacral:

Defined: You have access to sustainable energy.
Undefined: You are able to relax and create healthy boundaries around what is yours to do and what is not.

Spleen:

Defined: You have consistent access to your intuition.
Undefined: You are able to let go of the fear of others and what is no longer serving you.

Root:

Defined: You are highly ambitious and you have the ability to focus your drive.
Undefined: You are able to recognize what pressure belongs to you and what doesn’t, and know when it’s healthy to use it.

I hope you found that helpful in realizing that whether or not you have consistent access to energy, there are still gifts available to you when you’re in alignment!
